[LFW] Zoë Jordan

Zoë Jordan’s catwalk show was sponsored by Vestiaire Collective – the website features videos from the show. I had a standing ticket, and sadly I was a bit late after getting lost on my way to the tube station (me? lost? late?!) so I wasn’t able to enter the show space, but I was allowed in to a private viewing on big screen, so I did manage to get some photos and videos from there, which I’ll share. The following photos were sent to me by Zoë Jordan’s PR company.

Here are some photos I took with my iPad – bad quality I’m afraid!  Tomorrow I’ll have my SLR with me.

Here’s a video I took of the closing – full screen is necessary!

I wrote some short thoughts after the show:

I was happy to see Zoë Jordan go from pastels and flowing shapes to something much bolder. I wasn’t too keen on the jade/teal colour but I loved the fuchsia!  My favourites were the black/white/red pieces.  I thought they were stunning, with fantastic cuts and lines. Lots of diagonals made the black and white monochrome much more interesting, and the splash of red really pulled it together. I also loved the shoes – navy blue closed ankle boots, with a bright red chunky heel. Very stylish, and although they catch your gaze, they’re not over the top, and I could imagine wearing them for work. I liked the metallic fabric on the catwalk, though I don’t know about metallic clothing in real life… it’s sorta like super-shiny plasticy fabric to me; it doesn’t really work.  Well, the diagonal lines were the best part of the show for me – bold and flattering.
